Cloughton Station

A new arrival at The Station House in 2004 was 'OSCAR', a MK1 railway carriage built in Derby in 1962, which has been refurbished to a very high standard to provide self-catering accommodation. The carriage is fully heated and air-conditioned and has one double en-suite bedroom, one twin-bedded room, one bunk room, and a separate shower room and toilet with shaver point. Additional folding beds are available if required.

The lounge/dining area is nineteen feet long and has the provision of a widescreen TV with VCR/DVD/CD system. There is a separate kitchen with storage cupboards, electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Drying and ironing facilities are available. Tea towels, hand towels, cleaning materials and store cupboard basics are provided. All bed linen, towels and electricity are included.

'OSCAR' is situated alongside the old platform, a short distance from the Station House, and is completely private and not over-looked. There is a garden table and chairs for outdoor dining, as well as a permanent barbecue. There are plentiful parking facilities.
