Station House Tea Room
Inside the main building in the old Station Master’s quarters, you will find our welcoming Tea Room, serving everything from a bacon butty to a ploughman’s lunch!
Opened in 1996, the Tea Room prides itself on providing delicious home-made food at reasonable prices.
We have something for everyone, from the dog-walkers popping in for a brew to the families who come out for lunch.
Here you will find a wide selection of hot and cold drinks as well as cakes, scones, sandwiches, salads, pâtés, soups and toasties.
In the summer you can come along and sit out in the relaxing garden or up on the old platform and enjoy one of our famous Strawberry Meringues, whilst you can be sure of a roaring open fire and an indulgent mug of hot chocolate when the weather turns colder.
We have consistently achieved the highest number ‘5’ rating in the Environmental Health Department’s Food Hygiene Rating scheme since its inception.
The Tea Room is open from Saturday 16th March onwards to mid-December, from Saturday to Wednesday, (closed Thursday and Friday), from 10.30am-5.00pm.
